Work Ready Training Pty Ltd (ABN: [38 074 307 716]) (“WRT”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, store, use, disclose and manage your personal information when you interact with WRT or use our services, including courses delivered on behalf of Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).

Your personal information and RTOs

WRT operates some of its courses on behalf of Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), under Third Party Arrangements. If your course is provided under a Third Party Arrangement then any personal information you provide to WRT will be shared with your course RTO. The course RTO will follow this Privacy Policy, where applicable.

1. Who This Policy Applies To

This Privacy Policy applies to all individuals who provide personal information to WRT, including:

  • Learners enrolled in WRT-delivered or RTO-managed courses

  • Users of our website and services

  • Prospective clients or partners

  • Individuals who contact us via phone, email, or other means

2. What Personal Information We Collect

The type of information we collect includes, but is not limited to:

  • Full name, date of birth, contact details

  • Learner profile data

  • Enrolment details and course participation

  • Employer and school information (if relevant)

  • Payment details (only where required)

  • Assessment and training records

  • Website usage data (e.g. IP address, cookies)

We only collect personal information that is necessary to provide and administer our training services or to comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

3. How We Collect Personal Information

We collect information:

  • Directly from you (via forms, phone calls, emails, website use)

  • From third parties where authorised (e.g., employers, RTO partners)

  • Automatically through our website (e.g., cookies and analytics tools)

You will be notified at the time of collection via a Collection Notice stating why the information is needed and how it will be used.

4. Use of Your Personal Information

Your personal information may be used to:

  • Deliver training and assessment services

  • Manage enrolments, compliance and reporting

  • Share required information with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs)

  • Communicate with you about your course

  • Meet obligations under national VET compliance frameworks

  • Offer additional educational services (you may opt out)

We do not use or disclose your personal information for direct marketing unless we have your express or implied consent. You may opt out at any time.

5. Disclosure of Personal Information

We may disclose your information to:

  • Registered Training Organisations (RTOs)

  • Government authorities (e.g., NCVER, ASQA)

  • Schools or employers (where relevant)

  • Researchers or survey providers (for NCVER compliance)

  • Our contractors, IT providers and legal advisors

Disclosure to these parties is only made where necessary, and they must comply with privacy laws and this Policy.

We do not sell personal information or share it for unrelated marketing purposes.

6. NCVER & VET Data Provision Notice (Where Applicable)

Under the Data Provision Requirements 2012, WRT and its RTO partners must collect and disclose your personal information to the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER) for purposes including:

  • VET statistics, program monitoring and policy development

  • Issue of statements of attainment

  • Surveys about your training experience

You may receive an NCVER-administered survey, and you can opt out at the time of contact.

7. Access and Correction of Personal Information

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal information

  • Correct inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete information

To make a request, please call 1800 842 100 or email [email protected]. You may be asked to verify your identity. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe, usually within 30 days.

8. Storage and Security of Personal Information

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

Security measures include:

  • Restricted access to servers

  • Encrypted backups and secure cloud services

  • Controlled physical and digital access to sensitive records

  • Destruction of hard copies in accordance with approved retention periods

WRT retains personal information only as long as required by law or for legitimate business needs.

9. Retention of Records

  • Student Assessment Records are kept for a minimum of 6 months after the date competence is assessed.

  • RTO records may be retained for 30 years in accordance with the Standards for RTOs 2015.

  • Where no longer required, personal information will be securely destroyed or de-identified.

10. Overseas Disclosure

WRT does not currently disclose personal information overseas. If this changes, we will update this Policy and ensure overseas recipients comply with Australian privacy standards.

11. Website and Cookies

WRT’s website may use cookies and other tracking technologies to:

  • Improve user experience

  • Analyse site usage

  • Personalise content

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Our website may contain links to third-party sites – WRT is not responsible for their privacy practices.
